Georgian Railway reported that volume of transit and exporting transportations decreased in the first half of the year, while of local and importing ones – increased. In total, railway transportations in the reporting period amounted to 9.78 million t.

RAILWAY SHIPPING OF OIL AND OIL-PRODUCTS DECREASED, WHILE OF DRY CARGO – INCREASED

Georgian Railway reported that volume of oil and oil-products’ transportations decreased in the first half of the year, while of dry cargo – increased. Out of total shipment of Georgian Railway in the reporting period, oil and oil-products accounted for 47% (4.6 million t), declining by 14.1% if compared with the same period of 2011.

According to Lan, his visit aims to strengthen relations between his company and Georgia and upgrade cooperation to the new level.

IN PROPERTY INSURANCE, “UNISON” LEADS IN TERMS OF ATTRACTED PREMIUM, WHILE “GPIH” – IN TERMS OF REIMBURSEMENT

National Bank of Georgia reported that in the first half of the year, Georgian insurance companies have attracted 24.8 million lari in property insurance, while reimbursed 467,762 lari. If compared with the same period of 2011, attracted premium increased by 1.5%, while reimbursement declined by 29.3%.

“ALDAGI BCI” LEADS IN TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance premium, attracted in the first half of the year by Georgian insurance companies, has increased by 36.5%, while reimbursements in this sphere decreased by 41.4%, if compared with the same period of 2011. According to National Bank of Georgia, total premium, attracted in travel insurance, amounted to 1.9 million lari as of June 30.
