Institute for Polling and Marketing (IPM, marketing agency) reported that within research, conducted in the Caucasus region and Russia, information was collected regarding countries, in which local respondents have relatives, close friends or colleagues with whom they maintain steady relations. The research involved per 1,200 respondents in each country.

BOLNISI ADMINISTRATION: NEW ROAD OPENED IN KAZRETI BOROUGH

Administration of Bolnisi municipality (Kvemo Kartli region) declared about completion of construction of asphalt concrete road with length of 1,100 m in village Kazreti. The project worth 700,000 lari was implemented through joint financing of the regional projects fund and the local budget, the administration said.

AGRICULTURE MINISTER: SITUATION WITH BROWN MARMORATED STINK BUG IS REALLY DIFFICULT

Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili reported today about conducted and planned measures for fight against brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys) to the Parliament’s Committee on Agrarian Issues. “Quite complicated situation is created in Samegrelo and Guria, where despite the conducted measures, the pest has inflicted significant loss not only to hazelnut culture”, the Minister declared.

The company is going to increase output and to introduce standard of energy-saving processing of glass, the Ministry said.
