Sakstat reported that out of enterprises’ total output in the 2nd quarter (5.68 billion lari), industry accounted for 31.87% (1.81 billion lari). Output of this sector has increased by 9.6% year-on-year and by 9.33% – quarter-on-quarter.

THE GOVERNMENT: WINERIES INCREASED GRAPE PROCESSING 5 TIMES Y-O-Y

The government reported that as of September 4, wineries of Kakheti region (main winemaking region of Georgia) have processed 10,680 t of grape, increasing the volume 5 times year-on-year. Total revenue of winegrowers within vintage-2014 has exceeded 16 million lari, the government said.

Today, Tbilisi Mayor David Narmania met permanent representative of Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tbilisi Kate Julian and ADB’s senior specialist of urban transport Bertrand Goalou. As Narmania declared, ADB “will help us to resume study of the transport development system, which will lay ground for a strategy preparation with support of the bank”.

Inventory of accounts receivable and payable is starting in legal persons of public law and non-profit (non-commercial) legal persons, established by Tbilisi government, as well as in enterprises with 100% participation of the capital’s municipalities. For that end, Tbilisi government decided to establish inventory commission, which will be headed by deputy mayor Giorgi Khelaia.

According to report of Bank of Georgia Holdings, number of banking cards, issued by its subsidiary Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia), reached 1.08 million as of June 30. If compared with the same date of 2013, the number has increased by 18.24%.
