GEORGIA’S GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE SUBSIDIES TO PRIVATE WINE COMPANIES IN THIS YEAR

Unlike previous years, Georgia’s government decided not to issue subsidies to private wine companies within the framework of the current year’s rtveli (vintage).

An excess amount of grapes, for which there will be no demand from the private sector, will be purchased by the state-owned LLC Harvest Management Company, Georgian Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture said.
