    Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development has reported on South Korea – Georgia business forum, planned to take place in Tbilisi in spring. The Ministry declared the mentioned after meeting of Georgia’s delegation with South Korea’s Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and Federation of Korean Industries.

    The newspaper considers that annual volume of the commercial banks’ commission fee for utility payments reaches 20 million lari. Size of the commission fee varies within 0.40-1.00 lari per payment, while the most common fee is 50 tetri.

    The newspaper reports that selling price of electricity, produced by KhramHES-1, will be increased from 2.3 tetri/kWh to 8.2 tetri/kWh through 2014-2018, while cost of KhramHES-2 – from 3.5 tetri/kWh to 9.2 tetri/kWh.

    Tariff increase is envisaged by agreement, signed with InterRAO EES (holder of these hydroelectric stations and Tbilisi energy distributor TELASI) in April of the previous year.

    LLC Tbilisi Logistics Center is going to start in near future construction of refrigerator facilities in Gachiani (near Rustavi, Kvemo Kartli region).

    The company’s owner Georgian Partnership Fund told Sarke that construction will take several months, while investments’ volume to make up $6 million.

    Customers, damaged because of construction company Center Point, held a rally yesterday.  Up to 100 people, gathered in front of the Parliament, demanded their apartments without any additional fee.

    As participants of the action declare, company Dexus (manages assets of Center Point) requires additional payment of 30% of already paid sum.  The matter concerns payment of VAT and additional $100 per 1 square m.

The matter concerns such structures as European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Investment Bank (EIB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), etc.

    Dimitri Gabunia, lawyer of TV company Maestro, declares that damage, caused to the company by Erosi Kitsmarishvili, founder of Maestro’s managing company, exceeded $2 million for the last 4 months. The company plans to demand reimbursement from Kitsmarishvili through the court in next week.

    Recently added within the governmental project “Gas to All Villages” consumers pay 59 tetri for 1 cubic m of gas (to compare: 1 cubic m in Tbilisi costs 50.6 tetri).

    Besides, consumers’ houses are commonly located several hundreds metres away from the gas pipe, so consumers have to pay up to 2,000 lari for the gas system installation, the newspaper notes.

    TAV Georgia, operator of Tbilisi International Airport, announced that Estonian national air carrier Estonian Air will launch regular flights Tallinn-Tbilisi-Tallinn on April 9.

    Flights will be implemented 4-time a week by CRJ planes.

  20. GEORGIA AND POLAND TO SIGN AGREEMENT ON MARINE TRANSPORT

    Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has informed that Georgia and Poland will sign agreement “On Marine Transport” in near future. Details of the agreement were considered recently with Polish delegation in Tbilisi.
