3. NINETEEN FOREIGN AIR CARRIERS PERMITTED FOR WINTER FLIGHTS

   Permissions for winter flights are issued to 1 Georgian (Georgian Airways) and 19 foreign air carriers. To remind, permissions for summer flights were issued to the same Georgian Airways and 15 foreign air companies.

4. RIKOTI TUNNEL REHABILITATION BROUGHT TO END

   Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported that rehabilitation of Rikoti tunnel (connecting eastern and western parts of the country, 143^rd km of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway) has been completed. The works were started in July 2010 and cost 49.3 million lari, being funded by Georgian government and the World Bank.

5. Rezonansi: “CITY HALL TO START DEMOLITION OF ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTIONS”

   In order to start demolition of illegal constructions in the next year, Tbilisi City Hall has announced a tender. About 400,000 lari is envisaged for mentioned works.

   Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development decided to charge investors, who failed to fulfill undertaken liabilities, with 0.1% of remained investment for per each overdue day.

   However, according to the newspaper, “the Ministry does not have information on “unfulfilled investment” volume”.

7. FC “DYNAMO” EXPRESSED INTEREST TO TENNIS COURTS OF “GT+”

   Football club Dynamo expressed interest toward tennis courts of GT+, subsidiary of VTB Bank Georgia, director general of the bank Archil Kontselidze told Sarke. The agreement is expected to be signed in the beginning of the next year.

8. TERRITORY, RELEASED AFTER REMOVAL OF RAILWAY, MAY BE MANAGED BY THE STATE COMPANY

   Irakli Ezugbaia, director general of LLC Georgian Railway, reported that territory, released after removal of railway from the center of Tbilisi to outskirts, will be probably managed by the state company. He noted that creation of joint venture is planned for that end.

9. EU ALLOTTED 1.8M EUR TO GEORGIAN REVENUE SERVICE

   European Union has allotted 1.8 million EUR to Georgian Finance Ministry’s Revenue Service in terms of project on strengthening phytosanitary control on economic borders. Presentation of this project was held in Tbilisi today.

    The inauguration meeting of Georgian-Russian business development council has been held in Tbilisi today. The new council considers that agreement, reached recently between Georgia and Russia regarding entrance of Russia to WTO, provides base for restoration of business relations between the countries.

15. “TBC BANK”’S HEAD OFFICE TO BE LOCATED ON UNIVERSITY STREET

    Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry reported that TBC Bank had acquired construction with land plot of 43,019 square m in Tbilisi (University Str. 2) on auction, held yesterday.

    For this object, the bank will pay 8.7 million lari, against of starting price of 8.6 million lari.

20. “GEORGIAN AVIA SERVICE AGENCY”: INTEREST FOR “DEUTSCHE BAHN” TICKETS IS HIGH

    Tbilisi customers show keen interest for buying tickets of Deutsche Bahn, Levan Elizbarashvili, director of Georgian Avia Service Agency (Georgian partner of German railway operator), declared to Sarke.  On average, 15 tickets are sold every day, exceeding our expectations, he said.

    To remind, the service is offered to Georgian customers from early October.
