    KAZBEGI CUSTOMS CHECKPOINT OPENED

    According to Georgian Foreign Ministry, checkpoints Kazbegi (Georgia) and Zemo Larsi (Russia) have resumed operation today. Georgian side has opened Kazbegi checkpoint early morning, while Zemo Larsi was opened lately.

    GEORGIAN PRESIDENT: YEAR 2010 TO BE A YEAR OF ECONOMIC RECOVERY

    According to the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, 2010 will be a year of economic recovery. We are able to provide economic growth as many as by 3% and I hope that even by more, the President declared.


    BLITZ-SURVEY: EXPERTS ON ECONOMIC PART OF THE PRESIDENT’S ANNUAL REPORT

    President of Georgian Energy Academy Rezo Arveladze notes that in case of progress in Georgian economic, energy consumption will be increased in the country without fail.

    One of the important showing of economic power is annual energy consumption per capita, the expert notes.

    ALDAGI BCI HAD LOSS OF 300,000 LARI IN Q4 2009

    According to Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia), Aldagi BCI (daughter insurance company of the bank) finished the 4th quarter of 2009 with loss of 300,000 lari. However, the figure is decreased by 91.7% if compared with the same period of 2008 (loss of 3.6 million lari).


    TWO COMPANIES EXPRESSED INTEREST FOR 498XXX NUMERATION RESOURCE IN TBILISI

    According to National Communication Commission, 2 companies expressed interest for 498XXX numeration resource (1,000 subscriber numbers): LLC LuNet and broadcasting company Kakheti-1.

    Starting price of the license is 2,000 lari.


    GEORGIAN RAILWAY WILL PURCHASE DIESEL FUEL

    LLC Georgian Railway announced an international tender, aiming purchase of diesel fuel. The matter concerns to 3.4 million kg of L-67 type fuel.


    AUDIT COMPANY BDO GEORGIA LAUNCHED OFFICE IN POTI

    International audit company BDO Georgia announced that it has launched first regional office in Poti today. At starting stage, the company will offer accounting service and tax consulting.


    LICENSES ON WATER USE IN MARTVILI, TKIBULI AND BAGDATI ARE SOLD FOR 33,000 LARI

    Economic Development Ministry reports that 33,000 lari was mobilized in total from today’s auction on mining licenses. Three licenses for fresh water use were sold (starting price was 10,000 lari per license).


    LICENSES FOR FISHING ON JANDARA LAKE AND TSALKA WATER RESERVOIR SOLD FOR 274,795 LARI

    Economic Development Ministry reports that revenue from auction, announced on 20-year licenses for inland fishing, made up 274,795 lari. Out of 5 lots, 2 were sold.


    PROPERTY OF LLC ROAD ENTERPRISE IS ON SALE

    Bankruptcy manager of LLC Road Enterprise brought property of the LLC on the auction. The matter concerns account receivables of the company.
