WB ALLOCATES 42.7M EUR TO GEORGIA
Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank (WB) approved today allocation of 47.2 million EUR (flexible loan of IBRD, member of the WB group) for Georgia, in support of the government’s economic reform program in key areas.
While reporting on this, representation of the WB noted that this is the second Inclusive Growth Programmatic Development Policy Operation for Georgia (DPO2).
EBRD TO ISSUE LARI-DENOMINATED EUROBONDS
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported on Friday that EBRD will issue Eurobonds, denominated in lari. The emission, totaling to 120 million lari (46.7 million EUR), will be placed in international depositary Clearstream.
GEORGIA PLANS TO GET LOAN FOR NEW BATUMI BYPASS ROAD PROJECT FROM AIIB
Georgian government declared intention to apply to Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for financing of the project of a new Batumi bypass road. By relevant decree, the government approved the respective proposal of the Finance Ministry.
GEORGIAN OIL AND GAS CORPORATION TO ACQUIRE PER 10% IN “WHITE STREAM” AND “W-STREAM CASPIAN PIPELINE COMPANY”
Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation will acquire per 10% in White Stream and W-Stream Caspian Pipeline Company.
By relevant decree, Georgian government approved notification of the Energy Ministry regarding inclusion of the Corporation in “White Stream” and “Trans Caspian Pipeline” projects.
“GEORGIAN AIRPORTS ASSOCIATION” ASSIGNED TO ORGANIZE FLIGHTS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM
The government assigned LLC Georgian Airports Association to organize flights for the purpose of air transportation’s organization and assistance to tourism.
According to respective decree of the government, the company will conduct procurement of flight service through holding of a tender.
NBG: INCOME FROM REALIZATION OF NUMISMATIC AND COLLECTIBLE PRODUCTION GREW IN 2016 BY 28.4%
National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared that sales of numismatic and collectible production in 2016 amounted to 1.15 million lari. If compared with 2015, the volume has increased by 28.4%, NBG noted.
