    IN 2018, GEORGIA’S EXTERNAL STATE DEBT INCREASED BY 5%

    Georgian Finance Ministry reported that as of December 31, 2018, Georgia’s external state debt totaled to $5.43 billion. If compared with the same date of 2017, the volume has increased by 5%.


    IN 2018, GEORGIA’S DOMESTIC STATE DEBT INCREASED BY 13.5%

    Georgian Finance Ministry reported that as of December 31, 2018, Georgia’s domestic state debt totaled to 3.25 billion lari (so-called historical debt is not considered). If compared with the same date of 2017, the volume has increased by 13.5%.


    FACTUAL EXPENDITURE OF THE STATE BUDGET-2018 MADE UP 99.9% OF THE PLAN

    Georgian Finance Ministry’s Treasury Service reported that factual spending of the state budget funds in 2018 made up 11.45 billion lari (99.9% of the plan).

    Factual spending of credits and grants made up 1.14 billion lari (100.8% of the plan).


    IN 2018, ALLOCATIONS OF RESERVE FUND OF THE GOVERNMENT MADE UP 62.8M LARI, OF RESERVE FUND OF THE PRESIDENT – 4.96M LARI

    Georgian Finance Ministry’s Treasury Service reported that in 2018, reserve fund of the government conducted 89 allocations, totaling to 62.8 million lari. Out of this sum, 1.28 million lari (i.e. 2%) remained unmastered as of January 1, 2019.


    PLAN OF INCOME OF THE STATE BUDGET-2018 OVER-FULFILLED BY 1.3%

    Georgian Finance Ministry’s Treasury Service reported that income of the state budget-2018 amounted to 10.6 billion lari, making up 101.3% of the forecast.

    Out of total, tax revenues amounted to 9.7 billion lari (100.1% of the plan).


    PRIVATIZATION PLAN OF THE STATE BUDGET-2018 OVER-FULFILLED BY 1%

    Georgian Finance Ministry’s Treasury Service reported that receipts of the state budget-2018 from reduction of non-financial assets (privatization) amounted to 101.01 million lari. The volume makes up 101% of the annual forecast, the Service noted.


    IN FEBRUARY-MARCH, ROADS DEPARTMENT TO ANNOUNCE 52 TENDERS

    In February-March, 52 tenders with total cost of 485 million lari will be announced, Georgian Roads Department reported.

    The Department specified that these tenders include the pilot project, being financed by the World Bank, which was already implemented in Kakheti region earlier, while will be launched this year in Guria.


    PUBLIC REGISTER: WITHIN THE LAND REFORM, LAND PLOTS OF 301,976 HA ARE REGISTERED

    Georgian Justice Ministry’s National Agency of Public Register reported that within the land reform, 608,656 applications of citizens are registered by simplified procedures as of February 5, while total area of the registered land plots makes up 301,976 ha.

    In terms of number of the land plots, registered within the reform, Imereti, Kakheti and Shida Kartli regions are in the lead.


    TBILISI CITY HALL TO BORROW FROM COMMERCIAL BANK

    Tbilisi Sakrebulo (city council) considered today permission to the City Hall for opening of a credit line in commercial bank, the City Hall reported. As a result of consideration, the City Hall won consent of Sakrebulo.


    IN NEAR FUTURE, 90 “MAN”-MANUFACTURED BUSES TO BE BROUGHT TO TBILISI

    Tbilisi City Hall reported that the Mayor Kakha Kaladze pays visit to Poland, to the bus plant of MAN. Subject of his visit is 10-m buses with diesel engine, complying with EURO-6 standard.
