    PRIME MINISTER: OUR GOAL IS ESTABLISHMENT OF FAIR GAME RULES IN OUR NATIONAL ECONOMY

    Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze declared that goal of the government is creation through new reforms of such economic model, which will ensure overcoming poverty and problems of excessive indebtedness in the country. The main thing is ensuring of “establishment of fair game rules in our national economy”, he pointed.


    NOMINEE MINISTER OF ECONOMY: OUR PHILOSOPHY OF ECONOMIC GROWTH IS BASED NOT ONLY ON GROWTH OF ECONOMY, BUT ALSO ON EQUAL DISTRIBUTION OF INCOME

    “Our philosophy of economic growth is based not only on growth of economy, but also on equal distribution of income”, nominee Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Kobulia declared, while presenting his program in the Parliament today.

    Kobulia pointed that the World Bank places Georgia among poor countries, economic income of the country, being calculated per capita, is small, while unemployment rate is high.

    NOMINEE MINISTER OF FINANCE: NO DANGER THREATENS MACROECONOMIC STABILITY IN GEORGIA

    Economic growth-oriented fiscal policy, including tax environment, will not change in the country, nominee Minister of Finance Ivane Machavariani declared, while presenting his program in the Parliament today.

    According to Machavariani, “wrong feeling should not be created that we will destroy that macroeconomic stability, which was reached so hard, due to either growth of debts or raise of taxes, or due to operating deficit”.


    MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND AGRICULTURE: PRINCIPLE OF WATER RESOURCES’ MANAGEMENT WILL BE CHANGED QUALITATIVELY

    Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili declared that principle of water resources’ management will be changed qualitatively. “Large-scale reform of water resources’ steady management is planned that is based on the European experience”, he declared, while presenting own program at the joint meeting of the Parliament’s committees today.


    MINISTER OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE: 3 CLUSTERS ARE ALLOCATED, WHERE RESEARCHES ARE PLANNED

    Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili declared that with assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB), “we have quite interesting project, where 3 clusters are allocated”. “In these clusters, conduction of researches, as well as planning of infrastructure, necessary for their development, are planned”, she said.


    IN AUTUMN, TBILISI TO HOST GEORGIAN-POLISH BUSINESS FORUM

    Georgian-Polish business forum will be held in Tbilisi in autumn, the EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) announced. On July 12, such forum was held in Warsaw.

    “SOLAR POWER GEORGIA” TO BUILD SOLAR POWER PLANT IN UDABNO VILLAGE

    Georgian Energy Development Fund declared that LLC Solar Power Georgia will built solar power plant with estimated capacity of 5 MW in Udabno village of Sagarejo municipality (Kakheti region). Cost of the project makes up $4.5 million.
