GEORGIAN PREMIER: GEORGIA ESTIMATED AS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL COUNTRY IN TERMS OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has commented on resolution, which the European Parliament has to adopt today, and statements made by EMPs in this connection the day before.

“In the European Parliament, Georgia got unprecedentedly positive estimates and is estimated as the most successful country in terms of European integration”, Bakhtadze declared.

NBG: NEW RULE OF RETAIL CREDITING WILL ENTER IN FORCE IN 2019

National Bank of Georgia (NBG) declared that new rule of credit issuing to private individuals will enter in force on January 1, 2019. To remind, that regulation was initially planned to enact in this November.




MINISTRY OF FINANCE: IN 8 MONTHS, INCOME FROM TREASURY FUNDS, PLACED ON FIXED DEPOSITS IN COMMERCIAL BANKS, AMOUNTED TO 31.9M LARI

In 8 months of this year, income of the state budget from treasury funds, placed on fixed deposits in commercial banks, made up 31.9 million lari, Georgian Finance Ministry reported. The Ministry expects that the volume will reach 50 million lari by end of the year.




STATE AUDIT SERVICE: MOBILIZATION OF DIVIDENDS FROM ENTERPRISES WITH STATE PARTICIPATION IS STILL PROBLEMATIC

Issue of mobilization of dividends from enterprises, created with the state participation, is still problematic, Georgian State Audit Service declared.

The Service said that as of 8 months of this year, actually collected dividends from these enterprises amounted to 242,000 lari, making up only 24.2% of annual plan.




THE GOVERNMENT: IN 2019, IN RESPECT OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY, MAINLY DEVELOPMENT OF LEGISLATIVE AND INSTITUTIONAL BASE WILL BE CONDUCTED

Georgian government declared that in respect of energy efficiency, mainly development of legislative and institutional base will be conducted in 2019.

To note, draft “On Energy Efficiency of Buildings” is submitted to the in Parliament for consideration.




AUSTRIAN EXPERTS IN WATER SUPPLY TO TRAIN GEORGIAN COLLEAGUES

Georgian United Company of Water Supply declared that it has initiated launch of educational program, which will be implemented on the basis of Technical University.

Within the 1-year program, experts of the Austrian SETEC Engineering GmbH & Co. KG and Vienna University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) will retrain staff of the company and students.




DEPUTY ECONOMY MINISTER: GAS IS INSTALLED IN ALMOST WHOLE SHIDA KARTLI REGION

Georgian Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava declared that as of now, gas is installed almost in whole Shida Kartli region.

Since 2013, gas was installed in 4 municipalities of Shida Kartli, the Ministry said, specifying that this concerns 28,213 consumers in 129 villages.

“PRODUCE IN GEORGIA” AGENCY: AT CIIE EXHIBITION IN CHINA, GEORGIAN COMPANIES ALREADY SIGNED CONTRACTS OF $20M

Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry’s Agency Produce in Georgia reported that in China International Import Expo (CIIE), which was held on November 5-10 in Shanghai, 52 Georgian companies took part.

Within the exhibition, Georgian companies already signed contracts of $20 million, the Agency said, stressing that this is not the final result, as many companies continue negotiations with potential business partners.
