BUDGETARY SUPPORT OF GEORGIAN GOVERNMENT WITHIN PHASE 1 OF ENPARD MADE UP 24.5M EUR
Within the 1st phase (2013-2017) of ENPARD (the EU-funded European Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development), budgetary support of Georgian government amounted to 24.5 million EUR (about 62 million lari), the ENPARD information service reported. Total budget of the 1st phase makes 52 million EUR.
OIL AND GAS CORPORATION COMPLETED AIR SECTION OF GAS PIPELINE IN STEPANTSMINDA
Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation declared about completion of air overpass of gas pipeline over Kuroskhevi River in Stepantsminda municipality (Mtskheta-Mtianeti region).
Construction of the overpass with diameter of 1,200 mm, which conducted tender-winner LLC Elita Burji, cost 1.42 million lari, without cost of pipes and other construction materials, the Corporation reported.
“GWP” TO GET LONG-TERM FUNDING OF 60M EUR FROM INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
Georgian Water&Power (GWP, water and sewerage company of Tbilisi) declared that it will receive long-term funding of 60 million EUR from international financial institutions.
Respective agreement was signed in Tbilisi today between GWP, the Netherlands development bank (FMO) and German Investment and Development Corporation (DEG, subsidiary of German Credit Bank for Reconstruction, KfW).
PROFIT OF “GWP” FOR 2016 INCREASED 2.18 TIMES
Georgian Water&Power (GWP, water and sewerage company of Tbilisi) reported net profit of 39.38 million lari for 2016. If compared with 2015, the volume has jumped 2.18 times.

According to report of Liberty Bank, its net profit as of March 31 amounted to 9.72 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has increased by 123.8%.

According to report of VTB Bank Georgia, its net profit as of March 31 amounted to 10.22 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has increased by 192.9%.
AS OF MARCH 31, PROFIT OF “PROCREDIT BANK” DECREASED BY 33.8% Y-O-Y
According to report of ProCredit Bank, its net profit as of March 31 amounted to 3.37 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has decreased by 33.8%.
AS OF MARCH 31, PROFIT OF “CARTU” DECREASED BY 14.9% Y-O-Y
According to report of Cartu bank, its net profit as of March 31 amounted to 5.39 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has decreased by 14.9%.
FLIGHTS BETWEEN BAKU AND TBILISI TO UNDERTAKE “BUTA AIRWAYS”
Since September 1, regular flights between Baku and Tbilisi, instead of Azerbaijani Airlines (AZAL), will be conducted by low-coster Buta Airways (created within structure of AZAL).
While reporting on the substitution, Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development specified that initially, only 4 flights will be substituted, while Buta Airways will undertake all flights after October 29.
GEORGIAN ASSOCIATION OF INTERNATIONAL INVESTORS: TURKISH “SMM TEXTILE” PLANS OPENING OF TEXTILE FACTORY IN AJARA
International Investors Association of Georgia declared that Turkish SMM Textile is going to open in near future a textile factory in Ajara.
In this connection, owner of the company Murat Simsek had visited recently office of the Association and held an introductory meeting there.
