    NBG: RATE OF DEPOSITS’ LARIZATION MADE UP 30.81%

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that as of April 1, rate of deposits’ larization (ratio of deposits, placed in lari, to total deposits) made up 30.81%. A year ago, this showing made up 29.19%.


    NBG: RATE OF LOANS’ LARIZATION MADE UP 39.07%

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that as of April 1, rate of loans’ larization (ratio of loans, issued in lari, to total loans) made up 39.07%. A year ago, this showing made up 34.94%.


    NBG: OWN FUNDS ACCOUNTED FOR 14.5% OF BANKING SECTOR’S TOTAL ASSETS

    National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reported that own funds of banking sector totaled as of April 1 to 4.3 billion lari. That volume made up 14.5% of total assets of commercial banks.


    GEORGIA TO HOST GEORGIAN-ROMANIAN BUSINESS FORUM IN NEAR FUTURE

    Administration of Georgian government declared that Georgian-Romanian business forum will be held in Georgia in near future. In parallel, meeting of bilateral economic cooperation council will be held as well.


    ROADS DEPARTMENT: PRE-PROJECT WORKS FOR ZHINVALI-LARSI ROAD REHABILITATION ARE STARTING

    Roads Department declared about start of feasibility study for Zhinvali-Larsi road’s renewal, as well as detailed designing of Kvesheti-Kobi road section of this.

    Agreement on project documentation’s preparation was signed with Spanish company IDOM.


    PUBLIC REGISTRY: FIELD INVENTORY OF BLACK SEA COAST BROUGHT TO END

    National Agency of Public Registry declared that field inventory works on Black Sea coastal line, which were conducted within project on national navigation system’s creation, have been brought to end.

    Complete inventory was conducted in such tourist-active areas as Batumi, Kobuleti, Poti, Sarpi, Gonio, Kvariati, Chakvi, Buknari, Tsikhisdziri, Shekvetili, Ureki, Grigoleti, Maltakva and Anaklia, the Agency said.

    RUSSIAN “S7” TO CONDUCT REGULAR FLIGHTS BETWEEN NOVOSIBIRSK AND TBILISI

    Operator of Tbilisi and Batumi airports TAV Georgia reported that Russian air carrier S7 will start regular flights between Novosibirsk and Tbilisi on April 29. The flights will be conducted once a week (on Saturday) by Airbus A320.


    FOLLOWING REQUEST OF “STUDIO MAESTRO”, BIDDING ANNOUNCED ON RADIO FREQUENCY LICENSE

    Georgian National Communication Commission announced bidding on license for radio frequency range usage, following request of LLC Studio Maestro (broadcasting company).

    Starting price of the license makes up 5,932 lari.


    “SAKARTVELOS BANKI” DEVELOPED UNIFIED ONLINE PLATFORM FOR CHARITY FUNDS

    Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia) declared about creation of unified online platform for charity funds, operating in the country.

    As the bank stressed, transfers on accounts of the funds will not be charged with any commission fees.


    TECHNOPARK TO HOST PRESENTATION OF “STARTUP GEORGIA” WINNER “CNICK”

    Innovation Agency declared that presentation of “Startup Georgia” winner project Cnick will be held in Technology Park (Okrokana, Tbilisi outskirts). Within the project, “smart ring” was made from exotic wood.
