EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The purpose of this research is to give the reader a general understanding of the current market structure in the power sector of Georgia, become more aware of the regulatory environment, get introduced to the key players in generation, transmission and distribution, understand the potential of the future development of the Georgian power sector and introduce KPMG’s experience and capabilities in the field. For over the past decade, the Government of Georgia has been actively promoting the development of the power sector, with various incentives and favorable terms offered to investors.
