    ESCALATION

    Relations between Georgia and Russia continue to sharpen again, as well as situation in conflict zones. At this background, the US again supports territorial integrity of Georgia and peaceful regulation of conflicts.


    MORE DEMOCRACY

    Visit of US State Secretary Condoleezza Rice on July 9 to Georgia was aimed at acquaintance with the situation on-site and, first of all, discussion of situation in conflict zones. Besides, according to press, democracy issue was also discussed in terms of the visit.


    DEMOCRATIC DEVELOPMENT FUND

    Ex-speaker of the Parliament Nino Burjanadze, who refused to ballot in the Parliament in May by the lists of the National Movement, has established Democratic Development Fund, which presentation was held on July 7. Articles dedicated to this event were titled as ““Democratic Development Fund” with Political Hue” (24 Saati) and “Burjanadze for Strengthening “Push of Weakened Democracy”” (Rezonansi).
