Georgian-Czech business-forum was held in Tbilisi today, being attended by representatives of 31 Czech and 85 Georgian companies. According to Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Czech business was represented by such spheres as railway equipment, banking and financial sector, transport and logistics, informational technologies, medical tourism, healthcare, pharmaceutical products, construction, electric locomotives, etc.

“SAKAERONAVIGATSIA” TO BUY BACKUP SYSTEM OF AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL FROM CZECH COMPANY

Today, Sakaeronavigatsia (Georgian Air Navigation) signed an agreement on acquisition of backup system of air traffic control from Czech company ICZ. As Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry reported, cost of the project makes up 1.5 million lari.

WB TO ALLOCATE $140M FOR GEORGIA’S EAST-WEST HIGHWAY UPGRADE

Georgia and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD, member of the World Bank group) signed today in Tbilisi project on East-West highway (E60) upgrade, envisaging allocation of $140 million to Georgia. The matter concerns funding of works on Zemo Osiauri – Chumateleti section of the highway.

Georgian Ministry of Agriculture reported about the 8th meeting of board of European Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD 1), which was held in the Ministry. AGRICULTURE MINISTRY: COMPANY “NUTINVEST” PLANS HAZELNUT EXPORT TO EU

Agriculture Ministry reported that company Nutinvest plans production of 300 t of hazelnut yearly, exporting the production to EU countries. Hazelnut processing plant, built in Zugdidi (Samegrelo region) in 2015, employs 50 people, the Ministry pointed.
