HEAD OF REVENUE SERVICE: TAXES, COLLECTED IN FIRST 6 MONTHS, EXCEED TARGET BY 250M LARI

Head of Revenue Service Irakli Gvaramadze declared that taxes, collected to the budget in the first 6 months of the year, exceed the target by 250 million lari. According to the Service, collected taxes exceed showings of respective periods of 2011 and 2012 by 400 million lari, while of 2013 – by 380 million lari.

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE MINISTER: IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR, 305M LARI INVESTED IN PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Elguja Khokrishvili declared that investments in public infrastructure in the first half of the year amounted to 305 million lari. At that, 215 million lari, or over 70%, was invested in motor roads, the Minister told journalists, while presenting report on 6-month activity.

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Elguja Khokrishvili declared that the Ministry has mastered 94% of 6-month budget for roads’ rehabilitation/construction (230.8 million lari), spending 217.9 million lari for that end. If compared with same period of 2013, volume of implemented road works has increased by 63.4 million lari, while if compared with 6 months of 2012 – by 104.1 million lari, the Minister told journalists, while presenting today report on 6-month activities.

Oil-Product Importers’ Union declared that import of oil-products (petrol and diesel) amounted in the first half of the year to 384,800 t. If compared with the same period of 2013, fuel import has increased by 8%.

According to National Tourism Administration, Turkey accounted in the first half of the year for biggest number of visitors to Georgia – 658,822. However, if compared with the same period of 2013, the number has declined by 15%.

Base of data of 5 largest banks (Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia), TBC Bank, Liberty Bank, PrivatBank and Republic), non-governmental organization Society and Banks declared that loan restructuring increases borrower’s overall costs because of growth of effective interest rate due to commission fee, increased base rate of interest and extended duration of loan. However, borrower still improves own condition after restructuring as monthly payment decreases and danger of forced sale of his/her realty or other guaranty is voided, the NGO said, pointing that borrower also improves own credit history.

INVENTORY OF 112,533 SQUARE M OF NON-AGRICULTURAL LAND CONDUCTED IN TBILISI IN Q1

National Agency for State Property reported that inventory of state property was conducted in the 1st quarter in 2 districts of Tbilisi (Sololaki and Ortachala). In total, non-agricultural land plots of 112,533 square m with buildings were revealed, the Agency said.

FOR “STEREO+”, MINIMAL BROADCASTING DURATION IS SET AT 8 HOURS

National Communication Commission decided to set minimal duration of broadcasting for LLC Stereo+ at 8 hours, decreasing it from initial 20 hours. The Commission explained that the company requested modification of license because of “technical reorganization”.
