FINANCE MINISTER: TURNOVER OF VAT-PAYER ENTERPRISES INCREASED BY 11%

Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri declared that turnover of VAT-payer enterprises in June has increased by 11%, if compared with the same month of 2013. Plan of tax revenues is performed by 103% during 6 months of the year, Khaduri said at the meeting of advisory council of the Ministry.

CONSTRUCTION AND REHABILITATION OF ROADS IN 2015 TO BE FUNDED WITH 550M LARI

According to Georgia’s regional development program, indicative budget of construction/rehabilitation and maintenance of roads of international and national importance in 2015 amounts to 550 million lari. For 2016, the budget should be increased to 570 million lari, while for 2017 – to 580 million lari.

According to the Prime Minister’s order, state-owned LLC Georgian Airport Association will get 681,999 lari for partial subsidizing of ticket cost on Tbilisi-Mestia-Tbilisi regular flights. The funds will be allotted from Regional Projects Fund.

NUMBER OF VISA DEBIT CARDS DECLINES, OTHER’S – INCREASES

According to National Bank of Georgia, share of Visa in total number of debit cards, being in circulation as of end of June, decreased to 50.32% from 69.41% in the same period of 2013. During a year, number of these cards decreased by 5.38%, to 2.89 million.

According to National Bank of Georgia, number of credit cards in circulation made up 1.48 million as of end of June. If compared with the same period of 2013, the number has increased by 27.4%.

According to Service for Insurance State Supervision, net profit of insurance companies totaled in the 1st quarter to 3.41 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2013, the volume has decreased by 42.8%.
