IN 2016, SHARE OF TOP THREE SECTORS IN TOTAL FDI MADE UP 59.4%

Sakstat published adjusted data of 2016, stating that 59.4% of total foreign direct investments (FDI) were made in three sectors – transport and communications, construction and financial sector. According to estimations, top three included transport and communication, energy and construction and combined chare of these sectors made up 61%.

ROADS DEPARTMENT: REHABILITATION OF DARCHELI-GANMUKHURI ROAD IS COMPLETED

Roads Department reported about completion of rehabilitation of 5.4-km section of Darcheli-Ganmukhuri road (Samegrelo region). The project worth 2.68 million lari was financed from the state budget, the Department pointed.

“GSE” TO PLACE ADDITIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN TABAKHMELA

According to the government’s order, Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE) has to secure reinforcement of existing infrastructure around Tbilisi. In particular, substation of 220/110 kV has to be built in Tabakhmela village, which design should foresee its integration in already available network.

MINISTRY OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE: LANDFILL IN BAKURIANI IS SHUT DOWN

Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure declared that its subordinated entity, Company for Solid Waste Management, has shut down the landfill in Bakuriani (mountain resort), implementing the action within the set plan. Shutting down the landfill cost 124,998 lari that was paid from the state budget, the Ministry said.

“BLACK SEA RESORT” TO INVEST 20M LARI IN CONSTRUCTION OF HOTEL IN KOBULETI MUNICIPALITY

LLC Black Sea Resort will built multipurpose hotel complex in Kobuleti municipality of Ajara, Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared. According to the Ministry, the company will invest 20 million lari in construction of the complex, which will have 100 rooms.
