1. GEORGIA-UZBEKISTAN ECONOMIC COMMISSION DISCUSSED PROSPECTS OF COOPERATION
Politics

Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that meeting of Georgia-Uzbekistan intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation held in Tashkent recently.

At the meeting, the sides discussed prospects of cooperation in trade, transport, agriculture, tourism, culture and sport, the Ministry said.

2. 15 KAZAKH COMPANIES ATTENDED GEORGIA-KAZAKHSTAN BUSINESS-FORUM IN TBILISI
Economics

Today, Georgia-Kazakhstan business-forum was held in Tbilisi, being attended by 60 Georgian and 15 Kazakh companies. As Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development said, the participants represented such fields, as construction, pharmaceutics, machine building, food production, chemical industry and metallurgy.

3. 9-MONTH MASTERING OF ALLOCATIONS FROM THE GOVERNMENT’S RESERVE FUND MADE UP 76.57%, WHILE OF THE PRESIDENT’S RESERVE FUND – 87.79%
Economics

Treasury Office of Finance Ministry reported that the government’s reserve fund allocated 39.52 million lari in 9 months (80 allocations in total). At that, factual spending of these allocations made up in the reporting period 30.26 million lari (i.e. 76.57% of total allocations).

4. EBRD TO RENDER TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR “PRODUCE IN GEORGIA” PROGRAM
Economics

Press service of the government reported that EBRD will render technical assistance within frame of state program “Produce in Georgia”. Respective memorandum was signed today in Tbilisi.

5. TBILISI CITY HALL: MECHANISM OF WITHHELD ADVANCE PAYMENT’S USAGE BECAME OBVIOUS FOR BIDDERS
Politics

Tbilisi City Hall declared that order of the Mayor “made mechanism of withholding of advance payment obvious for bidders, which was reflected in tender conditions, as well as in agreements”.

“Under the previous government, withholding of advance payments was implemented in accordance with the government’s resolution of January 2011, but applicants were not informed about it during the tender process”, said the statement, released by the City Hall these days.

6. DOMESTIC TURNOVER ON RESIDENT ISSUERS’ CARDS INCREASED BY 17.94%
Economics

National Bank of Georgia reported that domestic turnover on resident issuers’ cards totalled in the 3rd quarter to 2.49 billion lari. If compared with same period of 2013, this volume has increased by 17.94%.

7. OPERATIONS WITH RESIDENT ISSUERS’ CARDS ABROAD INCREASED BY 14.08%
Economics

National Bank of Georgia reported that turnover of operations, implemented in the 3rd quarter with resident issuers’ cards abroad, amounted to 188.73 million lari. If compared with same period of 2013, this volume has increased by 14.08%.

8. CONSTRUCTION OF 23-KM ZESTAPONI-KUTAISI PIPELINE IS FINISHED
Economics

Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation completed construction of 23-km Zestaponi-Kutaisi section of high-pressure main pipeline. Construction of this section was started in spring.

9. REHABILITATED 6.4-KM CHALAUBANI-SIGNAGI-ANAGA ROAD OPENED
Economics

Roads Department reported that Chalaubani-Signagi-Anaga road was opened after rehabilitation.

This 6.4-km road of domestic importance serves 10 villages in Signagi municipality (Kakheti region) and is the only one, connecting them with the municipality center, the Departments pointed.

10. “COLLIERS INTERNATIONAL” STUDIES INVESTMENT POTENTIAL OF GONIO
Economics

Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara reported that Colliers International conducts study of investment potential of former military range in Gonio. The matter concerns land area of 315 ha.

11. GNERC WARNED WATER SUPPLY COMPANIES DUE TO INCOMPLETE REPORTING FOR 2013
Business

At today’s meeting, Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission warned companies, holding licenses for water supply. As the Commission explained, the matter concerns submission of incomplete documentation on the companies’ operation in 2013.

12. “TELASI” AND “CITY OF LIGHT” SIGNED ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AGREEMENT
Business

Tbilisi energy distributor TELASI reported that agreement on electricity supply was signed with LLC City of Light, which provides outdoor lightening of Tbilisi. The agreement will be valid until end of 2015.
