Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili assigned the government to develop “flexible, based on principle of fair distribution” structure of public officials’ salaries and bonuses. As the government said, respective draft will be presented on the government’s meeting on June 26.

Union of Oil-Products’ Importers declared that increased global prices and unstable geopolitical situation “really do not create optimistic situation”. “If global prices will not be settled in near future, we should expect fuel’s growth in price in Georgia”, the Union forecasts.

Georgian National Food Agency reported that officers of Rosselkhoznadzor, Russian state service for agriculture supervision, arrived today in Georgia. The delegation consisting of 4 members, being accompanied with Georgian colleagues, will visit Kakheti region and conduct phyto-sanitary checking of export-intended fruits and vegetables.

ESCO CHECKED AND PUT IN OPERATION 16 ACCOUNTING HUBS IN Q1

Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO) said that 16 accounting hubs were checked and put in operation in the 1st quarter. These were ones of LLC Energy (LarsiHES), LLC Energo-Aragvi (AragviHES), LLC Geoenergy (AkhmetaHES) and LLC Mtsire (MashaveraHES) – per 4 of each company.

“TELASI” TO START PRE-WINTER REHABILITATION WORKS

Energy Ministry reported that Tbilisi energy distributor JSC TELASI is going to start rehabilitation of energy system in preparation to winter of 2014-2015, which will cause temporary cuts of electricity supplies in the city. In its turn, TELASI has issued a statement, saying that planned works envisage “insignificant, only local cuts of one or two streets simultaneously for several hours”.

GYLA (Georgian Young Lawyers Association) and TI Georgia (Georgian branch of Transparency International) consider that investigation on case of Constanta foundation is not effective. “There were criminally illegal activities of prosecutors”, which were described in details in complaints, being submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office by Constanta in 2013-2014, the non-governmental organizations point.

CONSTRUCTION OF SANDWICH PANELS’ PLANT STARTED

Partnership Fund reported that company Panex, established by the Fund jointly with local LLC Industrial Construction Engineering Solutions (ICES), has started constriction of sandwich panels’ manufacturing plant on highway between Tbilisi and Rustavi. The enterprise should start operation by the end of the year.
