In the current situation, another reason has emerged for creation of a register of beneficiary owners in Georgia, declared TI Georgia (Georgian branch of Transparency International). “After Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent decision by Western countries to fully engage their sanctions regimes, beneficial ownership registries have become one of the main tools for tracing sanctioned persons and their assets”, the organization explains.

“UZBEKISTAN AIRWAYS” LAUNCHED FLIGHTS BETWEEN TASHKENT AND BATUMI

Uzbekistan’s flag carrier Uzbekistan Airways has started flights between Tashkent and Batumi, reported TAV Georgia (operator of Tbilisi and Batumi airports). During the summer navigation period, the airline will operate regular flights twice a week (on Wednesdays and Saturdays).
