STATE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM WILL WORK IN TWO DIRECTIONS

Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava declares in interview to the newspaper that the state assistance program, aiming mitigation of negative impact of coronavirus pandemic, will work in two directions. Assistance will be provided to those businesses, which will maintain jobs as a result of this assistance, as well as to citizens, who were left without job, the Minister explains.

Georgia’s Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili says that continuous monitoring is carried out in respect of uninterrupted bread production and bread price maintenance. “For today, stocks are more than enough, process of production is conducted smoothly”, Davitashvili declared after visit to bread-baking plants.

LEZHAVA – MONETARY POLICY WILL NOT BE EASED UNTIL RISKS OF PRESSURE UPON INFLATION ARE SOFTENED

Vice-president of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Papuna Lezhava said that toughened monetary policy will be maintained because of those risks, which exist in respect of pressure upon inflation. “As soon as we will see that these risks are softened, we will ease the monetary policy”, Lezhava declared on air of Business Partner program of Public Broadcaster.
