Draft state budget-2016 envisages allocation of 950 million lari for the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure. To compare, draft budget-2015 envisaged allocation of 955 million lari.

Economics

Draft state budget-2016 envisages funding of “Produce in Georgia” program with 20 million lari. This sum is part of assignations of 85 million lari, envisaged for Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry.

4. ISSUES OF STATE FINANCES’ ONLINE MANAGEMENT DISCUSSED IN TBILISI
Economics

Today, Tbilisi hosted session of Public Expenditure Management Peer Assisted Learning (PEMPAL) for Central Asian, Central and Eastern European countries, where issues of public finances’ online management were considered.

The event was attended by 42 representatives of 11 countries, Georgian Finance Ministry reported.

5. ECONOMY MINISTER: GEORGIA RUNS STRONG ENOUGH POTENTIAL TO BECOME REGIONAL BIOTECHNOLOGY CENTER
Politics

Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Dimitri Kumsishvili declared that “Georgia runs strong enough potential and readiness to become regional center and gain competitive advantage in direction of biotechnology not only in the region, but on international arena too”.

“Rapid development of economy, which is based of knowledge and innovation, is possible through state support and active cooperation between private sector and scientific circles in the country”, the Minister said at the first conference on biotechnology, held in Tbilisi today.

6. NATIONAL STRATEGY ON ROAD SAFETY WORKED OUT
Economics

Today, presentation of national strategy on road safety and action plan for 2015-2020 was held in Tbilisi.

Work on these documents was held since March, within the 4th project of East-West Highway (E60), and was funded by the World Bank.

7. SHARES OF JSC “AKURA” TO BE HANDED OVER TO AGRICULTURE PROJECTS MANAGEMENT AGENCY

The government decided to hand over shares of the state-owned JSC Akura to Agriculture Projects Management Agency for 1 year. The matter concerns 15.757 million ordinary shares.

8. LAND PLOT OF 2,000 SQUARE M HANDED OVER TO “TSALKA DAIRY PRODUCTS” AT SYMBOLIC PRICE
Business

According to the government’s decree, land plot will be handed over to LLC Tsalka Dairy Products through direct selling for 1 lari.

The matter concerns non-agricultural land plot of 2,000 square m with building (major area of 334.66 square m and development area of 1,000 square m), located in Tsalka (Kvemo Kartli region).

9. REGULATORY COMMISSION FINED “TECHNOMAX LLP” WITH 5,000 LARI
Business

National Communication Commission reported about fining of LLC Technomax LLP with 5,000 lari. As the Commission said, checking revealed that the company was engaged in broadcasting transit service, having no respective authorization,

The LLC should pay fine to the state budget within 30 days.

10. REGULATORY COMMISSION APPROVED ACQUISITION OF “VOXBONE” BY “VOICE BIDCO LIMITED3”
Business

National Communication Commission granted permission to LLC Voice Bidco Limited3 on acquisition of 100% in operator Voxbone. Respective request was submitted by Voxbone to the Commission in August.
