AS OF MARCH 31, IN TOTAL DEPOSITS, PLACED IN GEORGIAN BANKS IN FOREIGN CURRENCY, USD ACCOUNTED FOR 78.6%, EUR – 19.7%

As of March 31, deposits equivalent to 27.24 billion lari were placed in Georgian banks in foreign currency, increasing by 12.5% year-on-year, National Bank of Georgia reported.

In total volume, deposits placed in US dollar accounted for 78.6%, or equivalent of 21.4 billion lari (year-on-year growth – 9%).
