   Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that within visit of Georgian delegation to Azerbaijan, issues of cooperation in sphere of transport and communications were discussed.

   Georgia’s Ministry of Economy Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Shahin Mustafayev.

   Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met today with deputy managing director of IMF Tao Zhang, administration of Georgian government reported.

   The parties discussed the course of new 3-year program of IMF, which “is in full conformity with the government’s 4-point plan of reforms”, the administration said.

3. ECONOMY MINISTRY: WE WILL START THIS YEAR AND WILL FINISH FOR NEXT SEASON A ROPEWAY CONSTRUCTION IN KHATSVALI

   Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Gakharia declared that construction of ropeway in alpine resort Khatsvali (Zemo Svaneti region) will be started this year and will be finished by next season. He pointed that the resort “will be one more important location for tourism development” and declared that “plan of spatial arrangement of Mestia and Khatsvali will be completed soon”.

4. “THE GROVE DESIGN HOTEL” OPENED IN TBILISI

   Today, The Grove Design Hotel was opened near Queen Tamar Bridge in Tbilisi, which management is undertaken by international management company SolutionsHI. The 9-storeyed hotel has 39 rooms.

7. TWO LOGISTIC CENTERS IS PLANNED TO CREATE IN GEORGIA

   Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development announced plans on creation of two modern logistic centers in Georgia.

   Respective feasibility study, being ordered by the Ministry and funded by the World Bank (WB), is conducted by German company Dornier Consulting International.

8. FINANCE MINISTRY’S INVESTIGATIVE SERVICE HAS NEW HEAD

   Investigative Service of the Finance Ministry will be headed by Levan Gamkrelidze. This was reported at special news briefing by the Minister Dimitri Kumsishvili, who noted that today, the Service is facing new challenges in fight against financial crime.

   “Right to own land of agricultural purpose as a resource of special importance, can be applied to Georgian citizen, association of Georgian citizens, the state and self-governing unit”, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili declared.

   The Premier said the mentioned at the government meeting today and noted that the ruling team will apply to the constitutional commission with initiative to include provision in the Constitution about rule of agricultural land alienation.

10. “AVERSI-PHARMA” INVESTED 15M LARI IN RENEWAL OF CLINIC

    Today, renewed Bochorishvili multiprofile clinic in Tbilisi was opened.

    Aversi-Pharma, with assistance of EBRD, has invested 15 million lari in renewal of the clinic, administration of Georgian government reported.

    By data of 5 months, receipts part of the budget is executed by 81%, while part of payments – by 76%, the newspaper reports.

    In 1 month, the government has to eliminate gap of up to 1.07 billion lari in receipts part, while 1.39 billion lari has to be spent in payments part.

    At the meeting today, the government considered amendments to be made in Code of Local Governance, reflecting planned territorial optimization of 14 municipalities.

    As Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated, number of these municipalities is reduced to 7, but that “does not mean, first of all, reduction of budget in these municipalities”.

    Mobile operator Mobitel (Beeline brand) declared about appointment of new director. Namely, Andrzej Malinowski will replace on this post Giorgi Tkeshelashvili, who has worked in the company since 2006 at various leading positions, Mobitel said.
