  1. THREE GEORGIAN AND FOURTEEN FOREIGN AIR COMPANIES GOT AIR COMMUNICATION PERMISSIONS FOR THE WINTER PERIOD

    According to United Transport Administration, 3 Georgian and 14 foreign air companies got flight permissions for the winter period (November-April).

    As the Administration told Sarke, 17 companies implement flights at this stage, out of which Lithuanian Fly-LAL and Georgian Tbilaviamsheni and Sakaviaservice did not submit an application.

  2. 3 GEORGIAN AND 19 FOREIGN COMPANIES IMPLEMENT FLIGHTS IN GEORGIA

    As United Transport Organization informs, 3 Georgian and 19 foreign companies have got flight permissions in Georgia for summer season (April-September).

    Out of Georgian companies, Georgian Airways, Tbilaviamsheni and Sakaviaservice have got permissions, while Georgian National Airways have not applied yet, Administration notes.

  3. TWO FOREIGN AIR COMPANIES LEFT GEORGIAN AIR MARKET, ONE JOINED

    As the United Transport Administration of Georgia told Sarke, two air companies (German Germania and Armenian Armavia) did not apply for flight permission in winter season, therefore, will not implement the flights in Georgia. The same time, the permission was issued to Ukrainian International Airlines, which did not implemented flights in Georgia until now.

  4. RUSSIAN AIR COMPANIES DO NOT APPLY FOR GEORGIA’S FLIGHT PERMITS

    According to the National Transport Regulation Commission, none of Russian air companies have applied for regular flight permits to Georgia in the winter period (October-March).

    In the summer period, flight permits had five Russian air companies – Aeroflot, Siberia, Sank-Petersburg Airlines, Domodedovo Airlines and Pulkovo Airlines.

  5. FIVE LOCAL AND 15 FOREIGN AIR COMPANIES OPERATING ON THE GEORGIAN AIR MARKET

    According to the Georgian Civil Aviation Administration, 5 local and 15 foreign air companies have been issued permits for the summer schedule (April-September).

    The list of Georgian air companies is the same as it was last year, but one more company has added to the number of foreign air companies.

  6. GEORGIAN AIRWAYS TRANSPORT 80% OF PASSENGERS TRANSPORTED BY GEORGIAN AIR COMPANIES

    According to the Civil Aviation Administration, for the past six months of the year Georgian air companies have transported 111,400 passengers, which is almost by 9% more than in the similar period in 2004.

    Of the figure, Georgian Airways transported almost 80%, or 90,712 passengers, National Airways 10%, 10%, or 932 passengers, while Sakaviaservice and Tbilaviamsheni almost 10%, or 1,877 and 7,936 consequently.

  7. 5 GEORGIAN AND 14 FOREIGN AIR COMPANIES ADOPT FLIGHT PERMITS FOR SUMMER PERIOD

    Five Georgian and 14 foreign companies have adopted flight permits for the summer period, Sarke has been told in the Civil Aviation Administration. The air companies receive the permit twice, for the winter period lasting from October to March including, and the summer period from April to September.

  8. CIVIL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION CONSIDERS NEW REQUESTS FOR REGULAR AIR FLIGHTS

    The Civil Aviation Administration is considering six new requests for regular flights from Georgian air companies. Georgian National Airlines has applied for Tbilisi-Baku and Tbilisi-Yerevan flights, Tbilaviamsheni to Rostov, while Sakaviaservice to Trabzon-Thessaloniki.

  9. FOUR GEORGIAN AIR COMPANIES SUBMITTED APPLICATIONS ON LICENSES TO 11 DIRECTIONS

    Civil Aviation Administration is considering 11 applications on regular flight licenses four Georgian air companies have handed in. Six applications have been submitted by Georgian National Airlines.

  10. PASSENGER TURNOVER IN THE AVIATION SECTOR INCREASES ALMOST BY 21%, GOODS TURNOVER BY 37%

    According to the Statistics Department, in 2004 Georgian air companies transported 230,000 passengers and the turnover made up 483.3 million passenger-kilometers or by 22.6% and 20.7% more than in 2003. The volume goods transported increased by 23.1%, while the turnover by 37.0%.
