    Georgian Energy and Water Supply Regulation Commission reported that total volume of water, supplied in 2010, made up 449.8 million cubic m countrywide. The figure is by 35.6% down year-on-year.

    Tbilisi City Hall announced that already 20 electronic displays, showing information regarding municipal buses’ traffic (timetables), have been installed at bus stops.

    At starting stage, the process has been applied for those places, which are mostly crowded with passengers, the City Hall said.

    Giorgi Chirakadze, head of Georgian Business Association, has declared to journalists today that charity dinner, organized yesterday by the Association, collected 1.5 million lari in total.

    General sponsor of the event was Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia), platinum sponsor - Rustavi JSC Azot, gold sponsors - mining companies Madneuli and Quartzite, silver sponsor - Silk Road Group.

  4. USAID CONSULTANT: GREENHOUSE’S PROFITABILITY GROWTH IS POSSIBLE THROUGH CHEAP HEATING USE AND AREA INCREASE

    David Dumaresq, consultant of USAID’s Economic Prosperity Initiative (EPI), declared that special model, developed by him, showed that cheap heating use and greenhouse area’s increase provides almost doubled profitability of greenhouse. This model is tailored for local market’s specifics and prices, the expert stressed.

  5. EBRD TO CO-FUND DEVELOPMENT OF NAVTLUGI RAILWAY STATION

    European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will fund about half of cost of LLC Capital Properties’ project on Navtlugi railway station development.

    As founder of Capital Properties Irakli Kilauridze has declared to Sarke, agreement with EBRD regarding credit allocation has been already reached.

  8. GURAMISHVILI PEDIATRIC CLINIC SOLD FOR 2.16M LARI

    Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry reported that LLC Mikheil Guramishvili Pediatric Clinic was sold for 2.16 million lari. Starting price of the clinic, located in TEMKA settlement of Tbilisi, was 1.68 million lari.

    Because of transition to new numeration system, fixed communication numbers will be changed from June 4. Namely, digit “2” will be added to beginning of current numbers.

    Georgian Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission reported that TELASI (Tbilisi energy distributor) plans to complete individual power meters’ installation this year. Kakheti Energy Distribution plans the same for 2013, while Energo-Pro Georgia (distributor of other regions of Georgia) – 2014.

    Russian media regarded this statement as round intimations for Georgia, but Georgian side has different estimation of Biden’s words.

    Soliko Taishvili, head of association Kvevris Gvino (Kvevri Wine, kvevri – traditional Georgian vessel for wine making), considers that out of Georgian wines only kvevri wine may have prospect in European market as unique Georgian product.

    As he declared to Sarke, the mentioned wines have quite good call on European market, but Georgia is unable to meet this demand.

  15. WINE CONTEST TO BE HELD AT THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF WINE AND SPIRITS

Pilot project has been finished today, envisaging installation of 200 individual water meters to residents of Metromsheni settlement in Isani-Samgori district.

  19. TWO COMPANIES TOOK PART IN TENDER FOR HES CONSTRUCTION ON CHELTI RIVER

    LLC Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation announced that LLC Peri and Stucky Ltd have passed to the tender stage of bidding, announced for construction of 4-5 mW hydroelectric station on river Chelti in Kakheti region (village Shilda of Kvareli district).

    To remind, Georgian Green Energy Development Company, subsidiary of state-owned Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, announced bids invitation on design works and construction of this HES on May 2.
