Within the working visit to Brussels, Georgia’s Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze met today with President of the European Council Donald Tusk. “Today, stronger than ever, we are motivated to make even more and to go even further on the path of European integration”, Bakhtadze declared after the meeting.

IN JANUARY-JUNE, GEORGIA’S EXPORT TO CIS INCREASED BY 50.7% Y-O-Y, WHILE IMPORT FROM CIS – BY 26.2%
Sakstat released estimation for January-June, according to which Georgia’s trade turnover with CIS countries amounted to $2.04 billion, increasing by 33.9% year-on-year. At that, Georgia’s export to CIS countries made up $720.1 million (growth – 50.7%).
IN JANUARY-JUNE, GEORGIA’S EXPORT TO THE EU INCREASED BY 21.5% Y-O-Y, WHILE IMPORT FROMTHE EU – BY 26.3%
Sakstat released estimation for January-June, according to which Georgia’s trade turnover with EU countries amounted to $1.64 billion, increasing by 25.2% year-on-year. At that, Georgia’s export to the EU made up $367.8 million (growth – 21.5%).
GEORGIA LAUNCHED BATHYMETRIC WORKS IN OWN MARITIME SPACE AND SEAPORTS
Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that State Hydrographic Service carries out bathymetric works in maritime space and seaports of the country. The Service works on provision vessels, moving in Georgia’s maritime space, with exact data (maps) for insurance safety of navigation, the Ministry declared, noting that maps of the Service are included in international catalog.

“GEORGIAN AIRWAYS” INCREASES FREQUENCY OF FLIGHTS BETWEEN BATUMI AND TEL AVIV
Georgian Airways declared that starting from August 7 and until end of the summer navigation period (last week of October), it will make flights between Batumi and Tel Aviv 3 times a week instead of current 2. As the Georgian airline noted, flights will be made on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays by Boeing-737, Embraer-190 and Bombardier-CL600.
“IBERIA INVESTMENT” IS DECLARED THE BANKRUPT
Kutaisi city court decided to declare LLC Iberia Investment the bankrupt through cancellation of registration. The court noted that the company does not operate for years, has no property and opportunity to cover debts to creditors.

SINCE JANUARY, 270 FACTS OF ILLEGAL USE OF TECHNOGENIC RESIDUES ARE REVEALED
Georgian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reported that 270 facts of illegal use of technogenic residues (waste of silicon-manganese) are revealed since January. In particular, the Ministry said, volume of illegally used waste of silicon-manganese in Imereti region totaled to 72 t.
