AS OF MARCH, YIELD ON BONDS OF GEORGIAN GOVERNMENT DECREASED SLIGHTLY Y-O-Y
In March, the yield of 10-year dollar-denominated bonds of the Georgian government made up 6.3%, reported National Bank of Georgia.
To compare, a year ago (in March 2023), the yield made up 6.4%, i.e. year-on-year decrease this year made up 0.1 percentage points.
GEORGIA TO RECEIVE 23.2M EUR FROM ADB TO STRENGTHEN HEALTH SECTOR

GEORGIAN AGRICULTURE MINISTRY: LOANS OF 9.1M LARI ISSUED IN SAMEGRELO – ZEMO SVANETI REGION FOR HAZELNUT PLANTING
In Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti region, preferential agricultural loans of more than 123 million lari were issued for development of horticulture, Georgian Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture reported. Of total, loans of 9.1 million lari were issued for hazelnut planting.
GEORGIAN AGRICULTURE MINISTRY: UNDER THE STATE PROGRAM, 62 AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVES PURCHASED MACHINERY FOR 50% OF THE COST IN 2023-2024
Under the program of co-financing of agricultural machinery for agricultural cooperatives, 62 cooperatives were co-financed countrywide in 2023-2024, Georgian Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture reported.
According to the Ministry, these cooperatives were able to purchase 331 units of machinery worth 7.28 million lari at 50% of the cost, 3.6 million lari.
GEORGIAN FOOD AGENCY: 971 ADMINISTRATIVE OFFENSES DETECTED IN Q1
In the 1st quarter, about 10,000 state inspections were held targeting food safety, Georgian National Food Agency reported. As a result, 971 administrative offenses were identified, the Agency noted.
