    Issue of management of KazTransGaz-Tbilisi, Tbilisi gas distributor, was considered during visit of the Vice Premier of Kazakhstan Yerbol Orynbayev in Tbilisi.

    Georgian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Kakha Kaladze declared that he plans to regulate this problem within cooperation with Kazakh side.

  2. “SOCAR” ACQUIRED “ITERA GEORGIA”

    Azeri news agencies reported that SOCAR, state oil company of Azerbaijan, acquired Georgian gas distribution company Itera Georgia.

    After this deal, SOCAR became single gas distributor in Georgian regions (except Telavi of Kakheti, where gas is supplied by Wissol Gas).

    Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulating Commission extended powers of interim manager of Tbilisi gas distributor, LLC KazTransGaz-Tbilisi, by another year, chair of the Commission Guram Chalagashvili told Sarke. Correspondingly, the manager will stay in the company until May 1, 2013.

  7. “SOCAR PETROLEUM GEORGIA” LEADS IN TERMS OF TURNOVER IN Q4 2011

    Oil-Products Producers, Importers and Consumers Union reported that LLC Socar Petroleum Georgia is leader in terms of Georgian companies’ total turnover (7.6 billion lari) in the 4th quarter of 2011.

    It is followed by JSC Wissol Petroleum Georgia, LLC Sun Petroleum Georgia, LLC LUKOil Georgia, LLC Georgian Railway, LLC Toyota Caucasus, LLC Rustavi Azot, LLC RomPetrol Georgia, LLC KazTransGaz-Tbilisi, Electric System Commercial Operator.

    Liberty Bank announced that payment of public utility bills is available without commission fee in 25 service-centers of the bank in Tbilisi. The matter concerns bills for power (to Tbilisi energy distributor TELASI), gas (KazTransGaz-Tbilisi), water (GWP) and cleaning fees.
