    According to Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministry, this year’s budget has been approved for construction works on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway’s Georgian section, making up $316 million.

    The decision has been made at bilateral coordinating council meeting, held recently in Baku.

    Giorgi Mshvildadze, director general of Tegeta Motors, told Sarke that the company has finished negotiations on import with German Porsche. Porsche service-center will be opened within a month’s in Tbilisi (near head-office of Tegeta Motors on Agmashenebeli Lane), he noted.

    Lisi Development announced that development of territory, nearby to Lisi Lake (Saburtalo district of Tbilisi), is launched and is expected to be completed in 2012. The first stage of construction will cover 5 ha.

  5. AGREEMENT SIGNED ON CREDIT ALLOCATION IN TERMS OF BAKU-TBILISI-KARS RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION

    According to Azeri information agency abc.az, director general of LLC Marabda-Kartsakhi Bidzina Bregadze and Azeri Transport Minister Zia Mamedov have signed agreement, envisaging additional allocation in terms of Baku-Marabda-Kars railway main construction. The size of credit, which Azerbaijan allots to Georgia, makes up $575 million

    To remind, Azerbaijan allocated $200 million within the mentioned project in February 2007.

  6. SUBSIDIARY OF DANISH COMPANY ACQUIRED “GWS”

    As it became known today, Pernod Ricard Europe sold 100% of Georgian Wine&Spirits (GWS) to JSC Marussia, Georgian subsidiary of Danish Marussia. French holding was single owner of GWS since 2007, while JSC Marussia was registered in Business Register in December 2010.

  7. PUBLIC REGISTER HAS 365 AUTHORIZED USERS

    National Agency of Public Register reported that number of its authorized users makes up 365 countrywide. Largest number account for Tbilisi, while 15 users operate in Ajara.

  12. Rezonansi: “COST OF TRAVEL BY MINI-BUSES TO REMAIN 50 TETRI FROM JULY”

    New mini-buses (so-called “marshrutkas”, route taxi) will appear in Tbilisi from July 10. Company Tbilisi Mini-Bus has already delivered 350 “marshrutkas”.

  13. BUILDINGS’ EXTENSION TO BE AVAILABLE DURING REHABILITATION IN AREA, DEFINED BY TBILISI CITY HALL

    According to the draft amendments to law “On Spatial and Urban Development”, approved recently by the Parliament, Tbilisi City Hall will define areal in the city for rehabilitation, while its substructures or legal entities, established by it, will taking part in the process.

    Development or rehabilitation of buildings will be available through allocations of the state budget, local budget, own funds of entity, being in charge of rehabilitation, or of the third person.

    Tbilisi population’s bills for waste removal service will be calculated since July 1 in proportion to the consumed electricity – 5 tetri per 1 kWh.

    Tbilisi City Hall proves the change with increased expenditure on waste removal, which exceeds (due to high rate of migration to Tbilisi) the volume, calculated according to current flat tariff (2.50 lari per head monthly).

    The Parliament has approved corresponding amendment to law “On Technical Hazard Control” in third reading today.

    According to director of construction company Axis Giorgi Kapanadze, first tranche was received today from TBC Bank’s credit for completion of Tbilisi complex Sairme.

    As Kapanadze told Sarke, credit totals to $2 million and has duration of 3 years.

  18. “AXIS” OFFERS APARTMENTS ALREADY FUNDED BY BANKS

    Director of Axis Giorgi Kapanadze has declared at the press conference today that this construction company introduces “innovation product on Georgian market – European rule of construction funding”.

    In particular, the company will offer flats in constructions, which are already funded by banks, Kapanadze noted.

  19. 3M LARI WAS SPENT FOR KUTAISI HEAD OFFICE OF CONTROL CHAMBER IN 2010

    According to the Control Chamber’s report-2010, budgetary assignations of the Chamber were defined by 12.6 million lari, while factual allocation made up 12.3 million lari.

    Of which, about 3 million lari was spent for construction of new head office of the Chamber in Kutaisi.

  20. CONSTRUCTIONS AND LAND PLOT IN TBILISI SOLD FOR 2.25M LARI

    Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry reported that 6 buildings with non-agriculture land plot, located on Sandro Euli Street in Tbilisi, were sold for 2.25 million lari through online auction yesterday. Starting price of the object was 2.20 million lari.
