STRATEGY OF STATE AUDIT DEVELOPMENT FOR 2018-2022 IS PREPARED

Today, State Audit Service held presentation of development strategy for 2018-2022. The document was presented by head of the Service Irakli Mekvabishvili.




DEADLINE FOR DRAFTING OF LEGAL ACT ON APPRAISING IS EXTENDED UNTIL JULY 1, 2018

The Parliament declared that deadline for drafting of legal act on appraisers’ activity and development of financial reporting standards will be extended until July 1, 2018. Initial term was December 31 of this year.

GEORGIA CONSIDERS POSSIBILITY OF AGRARIAN EXPORT TO NEW ZEALAND

Georgian Agriculture Ministry reported about meeting held with ambassador of New Zealand in Georgia Mary Thurston (the residence – in Warsaw).

According to the Ministry, the parties discussed possibilities of Georgian agricultural export to New Zealand, including wine, nuts, kiwi.

AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, PREMIUM IN MEDICAL INSURANCE INCREASED BY 10% Y-O-Y

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of September 30 in medical (health) insurance, amounted to 161.42 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has increased by 10%.




AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, PREMIUM IN LIFE INSURANCE DECREASED BY 21.5% Y-O-Y

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of September 30 in life insurance, amounted to 11.23 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has decreased by 21.5%.




AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, PREMIUM IN ACCIDENT INSURANCE INCREASED BY 5.1% Y-O-Y

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of September 30 in accident insurance, amounted to 3.46 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has increased by 5.1%.




AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, PREMIUM IN TRAVEL INSURANCE INCREASED BY 20.6% Y-O-Y

State Service for Insurance Supervision reported that premium, attracted as of September 30 in travel insurance, amounted to 5.97 million lari. If compared with the same period of 2016, the volume has increased by 20.6%.




“M²” TO BUILD HOUSING ESTATE NEAR TBILISI AIRPORT

BGEO Group declared recently that its subsidiary development company m² Real Estate will build a housing estate near Tbilisi International Airport. According to the Group, construction of 3,500 inhabited units with total sellable area of 190,000 square m is planned on the site of 99,000 square m.




“WIZZAIR” TO LAUNCH KUTAISI-RIGA FLIGHTS

Air carrier WizzAir will launch flights from Kutaisi airport to Latvia on March 25, 2018, Georgian Airports Association reported. The flights between Kutaisi and Riga will be conducted twice a week (on Wednesdays and Sundays).
