    Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has brought at the auction 3 buildings with land plots, located in Vake-Saburtalo district of Tbilisi.

    In particular, land plot of 6,201 square m with building, located on Kazbegi Ave. 25, is estimated at 3.55 million lari.

  3. “TELASI” STARTED PREPARATION FOR WINTER SEASON

    JSC TELASI, Tbilisi energy distributor, reported that it has started works in order to prepare energy grid of the city for winter season. For that end, the company is going to spend 3.6 million lari.

    Ibermeat Georgia (which holds its own slaughterhouse and store chain in Tbilisi) checks other meat sellers if they have documentation, necessary to trade in Tbilisi.

    According to Kakha Mazanashvili, director of the company, checking bears preventive nature and aims to avoid selling of uncertified meat in Tbilisi.

    Gia Kruashvili, regional secretary of Free Georgia, declares that cost of travel by all type of mini-buses (the so called “mashrutkas”) in Tbilisi will be 80 tetri since today, while the price will increase up to 1 lari through a month. Kruashvili does not exclude growth of travel cost up to 1.5-2 lari by the end of the year.

    Republican Party demands from Tbilisi City Hall to provide “true and full information” concerning the planned increase of travel cost, its schedule, its maximal amount and terms.

    Despite promises of the City Hall and company Tbilisi Mini-Bus that travel cost increase will apply only one route (namely, #4), the population revealed the same increased cost (80 tetri instead of mostly 50 tetri in the past) in a number of routes (##100, 128, 147), Republican Party declared today.

    Tbilisi City Hall’s Agency for Property Management has declared to Sarke that despite sufficient number of applications, auction on underground passages’ leasing was announced as failed.

    The Agency did not named number of submitted applications or other details, explaining cancellation of the auction by desire to ensure awareness of maximally large number of potential applicants.

    Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia) has announced on opening office of personal banking service SOLO in Kutaisi, being placed in the bank’s service center (St.Nino Str. 19).

    To remind, Sakartvelos Banki offers SOLO service to middle and high-income customers from the late 2009.

  11. IFC ALLOTS GRANT FOR “OPEN REVOLUTION”

    International Finance Corporation (IFC, member of the World Bank group) alloted grant of $400,000 to Open Revolution MobyPay, financial service provider, for expansion of activity to regions.

    According to Thomas Lubeck, IFC representative in Caucasus, this is first case of grant allotment by IFC, which had launched this mechanism recently, on Georgian market.

  12. “GEORGIAN AIRWAYS” TO MAKE FLIGHTS FROM BATUMI TO KHARKOV, DONETSK AND ODESSA

    Air company Georgian Airways informed that new routes will be started from Batumi from the next week.

    In particular, the company will make flights to Kharkov from July 18, Odessa – from July 19 and Donetsk – from July 22.

    Bank Republic has installed first ATM Drive, new type of ATM for local market, near Medical University in Saburtalo district of Tbilisi. As the bank says, the new ATM enables to withdraw money without leaving a car, which simplifies transaction.
