3. ALCOHOLIC DRINKS FACTORY TO BE BUILT IN RUSTAVI

   Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that LLC Georgian Vodka Company will built alcoholic drinks factory in Rustavi.

   As the Ministry pointed, the company should invest for that end 650,000 lari at least and employ no less than 20 people in the factory.

4. ECONOMY MINISTRY: “SAKCABLE” QUADRUPLED CAPACITIES AND STARTED EXPORTING

   Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that JSC Sakcable (Georgian Cable, cable and wire manufacturer) has borrowed more than $1 million within “Produce in Georgia” state program; besides, the state co-financing exceeded $160,000.

   While visiting Sakcable plant in Zestaponi, the Minister Dimitri Kumsishvili declared that “the company has already started exporting” and “capacities of its plant have been quadrupled”.

8. GEORGIAN OIL AND GAS CORPORATION: SECOND BLOCK TO BE BUILT IN GARDABANI COMBINED CYCLE THERMAL POWER STATION

   Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation declared that the second power block will be built in Gardabani thermal power station of combined cycle. Block of 230 MW is planned to put in operation by winter season of 2020, the Corporation noted.

   The government declared that Georgian-Iranian company Geopars will built oil refinery complex in Supsa on Black Sea shore (Guria region).

   According to Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry, expected investments in the project make up $1.5 billion.

10. THE GOVERNMENT: IMPLEMENTATION OF ANAKLIA PORT PROJECT TO START

    At the meeting today, the government considered an investment agreement, to be signed with Anaklia Development Consortium.

    Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili declared that the works will start until end of the year, meaning that in 3 years the first component will be finished and the port will became operational.

    The strike in Zvare is underway already the 9^th day; the workers demand improvement of their working conditions, the article says.

15. “HEIDELBERGCEMENT” LAUNCHED PROJECT OF $100M

    HeidelbergCement declared about start of investment project worth $100 million in Kaspi factory, which aims full upgrade and installation of clinker dry manufacturing line.

    Project on upgrade and development of enterprises of HeidelbergCement Caucasus (Georgian subsidiary of German HeidelbergCement) will be implemented in 2016-2018, the company said.

16. AGRICULTURE MINISTRY: THE US AND BULGARIA TO ASSIST GEORGIAN AGENCIES FOR RISK MANAGEMENT AND ASSESSMENT

    Georgian Agriculture Ministry declared that the US Department of Agriculture and Bulgarian Food Safety Agency will render technical and expert assistance to Georgia’s agencies for risk management and risk assessment in order to rise their institutional capacity.

    The Minister Levan Davitashvili, the US ambassador Ian Kelly and Bulgarian ambassador Desislava Ivanova have signed the respective memorandum of cooperation.

    Agriculture Ministry reported that $1.5 million was invested in Georgian Mushroom enterprise, located in Ksani village (Mtskheta-Mtianeti region). Out of the sum, $250,000 was grant, while $500,000 – preferential agricultural credit, the Ministry said.

20. “GWP”: CONSTRUCTION OF “SAGURAMOHES” FINISHED

    Georgian Water&Power (GWP, Tbilisi company of water supply and sewerage) declared that construction of SaguramoHES in Saguramo village (Mtskheta municipality of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region) is completed and the hydroelectric station was connected on September 25 to common energy system of the country.

    Construction was started in December 2015, the works were supervised by Swiss company Stucky SA, GWP said.
