2. “GWP” IS FINED WITH 5,000 LARI

   Georgian Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission fined Tbilisi water company LLC Georgian Water&Power (GWP) with 5,000 lari. The mentioned decision was caused by abrogation of license terms.

3. NATIONAL AGENCY FOR STATE PROPERTY TO BE LAUNCHED IN SEPTEMBER

   Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development declared that legal entity of public law, National Agency for State Property will be launched in September.

   Persons, interested in buying or use of state property, will receive the Agency’s fast and competent service through one-window principle from October, the Ministry said.

4. AUSTRIANS TO BUILD MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPLEX IN TBILISI

   Tbilisi City Hall declared that Austrian Rezid Holding will build multi-functional complex in Saburtalo district (Aleksidze Street). The company is going to invest $40-45 million in this project.

   JSC TELASI, Tbilisi energy distributor, reported net profit of 11.8 million lari for the first half of the year. This rate is by 33.4% down year-on-year.

6. TOTAL NUMBER OF ACTIVE PROTECTED TRADEMARKS MADE UP 45,464 IN GEORGIA

   Georgian Center for Intellectual Property Sakpatent reported that by January 1, there were 45,464 active trademarks, registered in Georgia through local and international procedures.

   According to the Center’s report-2011, 4,863 claims on the invention were submitted in 2011 (by 12.7% more than in 2010).

7. ILIA UNIVERSITY: TBILISI CUSTOMERS PREFER BEER OF “NATAKHTARI” BRANDS

   According to Economic Research and Consulting Center of Ilia State University, customers in Tbilisi prefer beer, bottled by Natakhtari brewery.

   The Center had studied choice of 976 people, shopping in 14 trade outlets of Populi chain.

8. BANKING CREDITS DECLINED IN GURIA AND KVEMO KARTLI REGIONS

   According to National Bank of Georgia, in the 2^nd quarter, banking credits reduced in Guria and Kvemo Kartli regions only.

   Tbilisi accounts for 78.3% of total crediting.

    Director general of bank Cartu Nodar Javakhishvili declared that the bank will apply to Tbilisi City Court today. Cartu requests to annul credits of $50 million, approved to developer companies by compulsory management, which had left the bank recently.

    New Georgian air company Fly Georgia will start flights to Batumi in the first half of August.

    As the company said, Airbus was brought to Georgia for that end.

14. “UTAIR-UKRAINE” STARTED FLIGHTS TO GEORGIA

    Civil Aviation Agency reported that UTair-Ukraine (Ukrainian subsidiary of Russian UTair) performed the first flight Donetsk-Tbilisi-Donetsk yesterday.

    Flights will be made once a week, by CRJ-200 and ATR-72 airplanes.

16. ADB TO ALLOCATE $80M FOR NEW HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION IN GEORGIA

    Asian Development Bank (ADB) will allocate long-term preferential credit of $80 million to Georgia. The sides signed respective agreement in the Georgian Ministry of Finance yesterday.

    Selected models were from 4 price categories: up to 100 lari, 100-400 lari, 400-800 lari and 800-1,200 lari.
