    Micro-finance organization Alliance Group informed that 15th annual conference of micro-finance organizations will be held in Tbilisi. Microfinance Center (MFC, uniting 105 micro-finance organizations from Europe and Central Asia) plans to hold the conference by the end of May.

    USAID and IFC estimate that Georgian textile industry has a great potential and is one of the most competitive on the international market, the journal reports.

    LLC Georgian Railway reported that Standard&Poor’s promoted the LLC’s “B+” rating to “BB-” with stable forecast.

    The Railway considers that improvement of credit rating confirms increased solvency of the company, its capacity to fulfill undertaken liabilities.

  6. ZURAB CHIABERASHVILI TO BE APPOINTED AS LABOR, HEALTH AND SOCIAL PROTECTION MINISTER

    Zurab Chiaberashvili will be appointed as Minister of Labor, Health and Social Protection, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri declared before the government meeting today.

    Gilauri said that Chiaberashvili’s major task will be social protection’s reform.

    Operator SilkNet has declared that the company plans to boost activity on mobile market and expects to hold 10-15% by the end of 2012.

    SilkNet, which offered mobile service S1 a month ago in Tbilisi, has now 50,000 subscribers, holding 3.1% share of the market.

    Czech Airlines is expected to cancel flights to Georgia officially from June 1.
