    According to Lan, his visit aims to strengthen relations between his company and Georgia and upgrade cooperation to the new level.

    As the newspaper mentions, volume of “other expenses” is reduced in the budget, but share of these unclear costs are significantly increased in budgets of the city’s districts.

    Out of 18 Georgian banks, 8 ones have reported retained earnings, while 9 ones – uncovered losses for the first half of the year (Liberty Bank did not published its report so far).

    According to National Bank of Georgia, total retained earnings increased as of June 30 by 55.7% year-on-year.

    The newspaper says that on the background of flour cost growth on the world markets, price of flour is increased by 5-8 lari in Georgia – up to 38-40 lari per sack (50 kg).

    Malkhaz Dolidze, head of Tbilisi bread-baking plant #4, confirms flour price increase, but decalres that the price is maintained at the expense of profit reduction.
