    Tbilisi Property Management Agency has announced auction on part of building located at David Agmashenebeli Ave. 89/24 (Kalakproekti). Starting price of 1,566 square m (area on the 10th, 11th and 12th floors) and 201 square m on the roof makes up 1.08 million lari.

    Grigol Vashadze, Georgian Foreign Minister, declares that next round of negotiations on Russia’s accession to World Trade Organization (WTO) has failed as well.

    The negotiations were held on September 12 in Geneva.

    LLC Georgian Railway cancels credit agreement with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Tbilisi bypass railway project. Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Vera Kobalia presented the mentioned issue at the government meeting today.

    The Ministry reported that the event is attended by construction companies and investors, being implementing HES construction in Georgia.

    The newspaper reports that almost all unbranded petrol stations have been shut down in Tbilisi under the pretext of consumers’ protection and now, this process is expanding in the regions.

    The article also notes that due to the strict requirements, permission on construction of new petrol stations has not been issued in Tbilisi for several years, and is issued quite seldom in regions.

    Abashidze states as well that distribution part of Tbilisi Water (Tbilisi municipal water supply company) was acquired by Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia).

    According to LLC Georgian Railway’s financial report for the first half of 2011, 12.35 million lari was spent in 6 months within the railway modernization project from attracted funds.

    In case of Tbilisi bypass railway project, the same showing made up 8.69 million lari.

  18. ADDITIONAL 13M LARI TO BE ENVISAGED IN THE BUDGET IN TERMS OF INCREASING PENSIONS UP TO 100 LARI

    In terms to secure increase of minimal pension amount, 13 million lari is added monthly to social budget, the Premier Nika Gilauri has declared at the press conference today. In Tbilisi, minimal pension is increased by 10 lari, while in regions – by 20 lari.

    Arabian FlyDubai announced about start of Dubai-Tbilisi direct flights from November 4. Giorgi Karbelashvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, handed over a formal permission to the company’s management during his visit to Dubai.
