    According to Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia), as of the first half of 2011, its personal banking service SOLO had 3,094 clients. The number has increased by 15.3% (i.e. by 411 clients) from the start of year.

    Revenue Service of the Finance Ministry declared that enterprises with small turnover (i.e. below 100,000 lari a year) will be involved in “Alternative Audit” project also. For the moment, 20 such enterprises and up to 20 auditors are selected for participation in the project in Tbilisi.

    After launching regional service-centers in Batumi and Poti, insurance company Aldagi BCI has started outlet in Kutaisi also. The office, located on Pushkin Str. 8, will serve clients daily, except Sundays.

    According to National Communication Commission’s report for 2010, fixed wired communication network is mainly developed in 5 large cities of the country – Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Poti. These cities account for 82% of total subscribers of Georgia’s wired networks.

    Fixed communications operator SilkNet announced that its IP broadcasting service Silk TV is available in 3 more cities of the country since today. Terms for customers of Rustavi, Gori and Khashuri are the same as for users in Batumi and Kutaisi, the company said.

  8. KFW ALLOTS 20M EUR FOR ARRANGEMENT OF LANDFILL IN KUTAISI

    Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported that agreement, envisaging allotment of 20 million EUR to Kutaisi City Hall, will be signed between the City Hall and German Development Bank (KfW). The funds will be used for shutting down the old landfill of Kutaisi and arranging the new one.

  14. KUTAISI AIRPORT TO BE HANDED TO LLC “GEORGIAN AIRPORT ASSOCIATION” FOR MANAGEMENT

    Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry has informed that the government decided not to alienate Kutaisi (Kopitnari) airport, transferring it instead to LLC Georgian Airport Association for management.

    By this time, the LLC unites airports of Tbilisi and Mestia (highland region Zemo Svaneti).
