2. BANK “CONSTANTA” ISSUED DEBIT CARDS

   Bank Constanta told Sarke that it has issued about 3,000 debit cards, which offer was started this month.

   Starting the beginning of the next year, the bank is going to issue credit cards as well.

3. “SAKARTVELOS BANKI” LAUNCHED PREMIUM-CLASS HALL FOR OWN VIP CLIENTS IN TBILISI AIRPORT

   Since today, VIP clients of Sakartvelos Banki (Bank of Georgia) will be served in premium-class hall in Tbilisi International Airport. For that end, the bank will grant them a special card, issued jointly with TAV Operation Service (managing company of non-aviation revenue of the airport operator, TAV Holdings).

4. GEORGIA AND ARMENIA DISCUSSED COOPERATION DEEPENING

   President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, being with 2-day official visit in Georgia, met today with President Mikheil Saakashvili and other Georgian officials.

   Office of the Georgian President reported that governmental delegations of the two countries had signed agreements on cooperation in foreign policy, economic and border issues.

   InterRAO EES will build series of hydropower plants on river Khrami, founding recently company KhramHES-3 for that end. This company will act as customer initially, implementing then the station management.

8. GEORGIAN-IRANIAN TOURISM COOPERATION DEEPENS

   According to Georgian-Iranian tourist company Best and First Georgia, Georgian sea resorts and East Georgia is especially interesting for Iranian tourists. However, because of winter season, core interest is moved to Borjomi, Bakuriani and Mestia, says the company, being operating on local market since spring.

9. TURKISH “DENIZ BANK” SUGGESTS GEORGIAN BANKS TO SIMPLIFY CREDITING PROCEDURES

   Turkish Deniz Bank, positioning itself as leader in terms of funding agriculture in Turkey, has made suggestions for Georgian banks, interested in agriculture sector financing.

   Seyhan Atasoy, head of Deniz Bank’s agriculture sector development department, considers that issuing of credit should be first of all simple for farmers.

10. 27M T OF CRUDE OIL TRANSPORTED THROUGH BAKU-TBILISI-CEYHAN PIPELINE

    British Petroleum has reported that 27 million t of crude oil was transported in January-September through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan. The figure is by 5.6% down year-on-year.

    Whole share (230,370 shares) of state-owned JSC Natadze Sanitary, Hygiene and Medical Ecology Research Institute is put on auction. Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry has set starting price at 700,000 lari.

14. “TBILISI INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS FOUNDATION” TO ORGANIZE BRITISH-STYLE PANTO PERFORMANCE

    On December 2, 3 and 4, the Tbilisi International Players Foundation will present the musical performance “Sleeping Beauty” by Richard Lovelock at the Tbilisi’s Kote Marjanishvili State Drama Theatre. Performances on Friday and Saturday (December 2 and 3) are at 19:00, while the performance on Sunday (December 4) is at 14:00.

15. “CONSTANTA” TO INCREASE CHARTERED CAPITAL BY 3.5M LARI

    Chartered capital of bank Constanta will be increased by 3.5 million lari, Vakhtang Butskhrikidze, director general of Constanta’s major shareholder TBC Bank, declared to Sarke.

    The mentioned decision is caused by constant growth of Constanta’s credit portfolio, Butskhrikidze said.

16. “GEORGIAN RAILWAY” SPENT 18.5M LARI FOR MODERNIZATION PROJECT

    According to 9-month report of LLC Georgian Railway, LLC had spent 18.5 million lari in railway modernization.

    Works within project on fast railway construction have been already launched, but their active phase is expected to start from April of the next year, director general of Georgian Railway Irakli Ezugbaia said.

    LLC Konstantine Madichi Mammalogy Center acquired on online auction part of medical institutions, located on Ljubljana Str. 5 in Tbilisi. The buyer will pay 365,000 lari for the object.

19. NINETEEN FOREIGN AIR CARRIERS PERMITTED FOR WINTER FLIGHTS

    Permissions for winter flights are issued to 1 Georgian (Georgian Airways) and 19 foreign air carriers. To remind, permissions for summer flights were issued to the same Georgian Airways and 15 foreign air companies.

20. RIKOTI TUNNEL REHABILITATION BROUGHT TO END

    Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure reported that rehabilitation of Rikoti tunnel (connecting eastern and western parts of the country, 143^rd km of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway) has been completed. The works were started in July 2010 and cost 49.3 million lari, being funded by Georgian government and the World Bank.
