  11. FOURTH EMPLOYMENT FORUM IS ORGANIZED

    Tbilisi exhibition center Expo-Georgia hosted an employment forum today.

    The event is being organized already the 4th time within the USAID-funded 2-year project on consulting and employment (previous ones were held in Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi), Natia Kvitsiani, representative of International Migration Organization, which implements the project, told Sarke.

  12. KUTAISI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WILL BE MANAGED BY THE GOVERNMENT

    Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Vera Kobalia has declared that the government will carry out management of Kutaisi International Airport itself.

    The government plans to attract low-budget companies, which implement flights to the state-run airports, offering them low or even zero tariffs in the airport, the Minister said.

    German Bank for Reconstruction (KfW) will allot additional 4 million EUR in terms to fund urgent rehabilitation for IDPs houses in west Georgia. Corresponding agreement was signed in Georgian Finance Ministry today.

    Georgian Finance Ministry reported about signing of agreement with Asian Development Bank regarding allotment of the second installment within investment program on urban service improvement. This program envisages improvement of water infrastructure in Georgian tourist centers and large urban settlements (Kutaisi, Poti, Zugdidi, Mestia and Anaklia).

    Irakli Ezugbaia, director general of LLC Georgian Railway, has declared that building of 5 Georgian-Chinese trains is already contracted (each having 4 carriages). The LLC expects the first train to be delivered in August 2012, while the rest – in 2013.

    As chairman of supervisory board of Rico Express, Lasha Nikolaishvili declared to Sarke, the company acquired recently the building of former branch of HSBC Bank Georgia for $1.2 million lari.
