    Georgian internet-users got up a petition, in which they are applying to co-founder and head of Tesla Motors Elon Musk with suggestion to build Tesla’s gigafactory in Georgia. The petition has been signed by more than 6,000 people.

    Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili declared that more than 115,000 t of grape was processed in 2016, resulting in population’s income of more than 100 million lari. These data refer to Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi regions only, he said, pointing that wine export has increased also, to both the EU and the US and other traditional markets.

    Georgian Young Lawyers Association (GYLA) declared that “It is advisable if a public agency applies budget cuts by means of cut of administrative costs and makes all efforts in order to avoid massive reduction of staffs”.

    To remind, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has announced reduction of state agencies’ next year funding by 10% as part of the government’s efforts to overcome economic crisis and stabilize lari rate.

    The Premier responded to Vashadze’s statement with special letter, refuting existence of confrontation, stressing that the government’s 4-point agenda is developed by common position of entire governmental team, assuming responsibility and pointing that despite any attempts, nobody could prevent its implementation, the newspaper says.
