    Silk Road Bank reported net profit of 1.76 million lari for the 3rd quarter. In the same period of 2014, the bank had loss of 4.19 million lari.

    President of National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Giorgi Kadagidze declared that inflation slightly exceeded a target, noting however that it was predictable.

    “According to our forecast, inflation will continue slight growth before the 1st quarter of the next year and will return to the target in the second half of the year”, Kadagidze said.

    “Wheel on right side is my right!” – thousands of drivers under this slogan expressed in Tbilisi their protest against of the Interior Ministry’s new draft bill, envisaging ban of right-wheel vehicles’ registration in the country from 2016, the newspaper reports.

    Giorgi Sanaia, member of Legacy Club Georgia and one of the coordinators of the protest action, declares: “Bringing new and good-working right-wheel car from Japan is much cheaper than from America or Germany”.

  5. DEPUTY FINANCE MINISTER: BUDGET GROWTH CONDITIONED BY RESULTS OF THIS YEAR’S ECONOMIC GROWTH AND PLANNED AMENDMENTS TO TAX CODE

    “Budget-2016 is planned on economic growth of 3%; in the submitted version of the budget, tax revenues are increased by 200 million lari and amount to 7.98 billion lari”, Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze declared at the joint meeting of the Parliament’s committees today, while presenting final version of the draft budget.

    He pointed that growth of the budget is conditioned by “results of this year’s economic growth and planned amendments to Tax Code”.

    At the meeting today, the government decided to impose ban on registration of right-wheel vehicles.

    As Interior Ministry Giorgi Mghebrishvili stressed that ban applies to registration and not to transit, re-export or import of right-wheel vehicles.

    According to the government’s decree, state-owned land plot in Tbilisi was handed over to LLC Double-G through direct selling. The LLC will pay 61,000 lari for 222 square m, located at Brosset Str. 8.

  20. TECHNICAL CHANGES APPLIED TO GEORGIAN COMPOSITION OF BAKU-TBILISI-KARS RAILWAY PROJECT’S COORDINATING COUNCIL

    According to the government’s decision, changes have been applied to Georgian composition of coordinating council for Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project. Accordingly, previous decree, adopted on February 7, 2013, was announced as invalid.
