    KIA Motors Georgia (official office of Korean KIA in Georgia) has declared to Sarke that sales of the company increased by 50-60% compared with the last year.

    On average, 30-35 cars are being sold monthly, the company said, noting that demand has increased for economy cars.

  3. NUMBER OF UTILITY PAYMENTS, MADE THROUGH “LIBERTY BANK”, INCREASED BY 14% IN Q3

    Liberty Bank reported about 2.17 million payments of utility bills, served by the bank in the 3rd quarter. The figure is increased by 14% comparing to the 2nd quarter of this year, while doubled comparing to the same period of the previous year.

  4. WINE STORE OPENED IN DUTY FREE ZONE OF TBILISI AIRPORT

    ATU Georgia and TAV Georgia (operator of Tbilisi International Airport) have opened wine store Georgian Wines in duty-free zone of the airport today.

    The store offer wines of 12 Georgian companies (Badagoni, Tbilgvino, Teliani Valley, Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar, Bagrationi-1882, etc.).

  5. ANSI TO COOPERATE WITH GAC

    American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Georgian Accreditation Center (GAC) have signed memorandum on long-term cooperation in Tbilisi today.

    ANSI will back GAC in preparation of working plan, in terms of national conformity assessment system’s harmonization with international standards.

    German government will allot extra 4 million EUR in terms to improve living conditions for IDPs (internally displaced persons). Corresponding agreement was signed in Tbilisi today.

  7. GERMANY TO ALLOT 75M EUR FOR ECONOMIC PROJECTS IN GEORGIA

    Georgian Finance Ministry has informed that German government will provide up to 75 million EUR for implementation of different economic projects in Georgia.

    The decision has been made within semiannual Georgian-German intergovernmental negotiations, held in Tbilisi recently.

    Tbilisi branch of Turkish Ziraat Bank plans to issue local debit cards in near future.

    As the branch told Sarke, through the mentioned cards only transactions in Georgia will be available and only through ATMs of Ziraat Bank’s Tbilisi branch and TBC Bank.
