    To remind, Georgian Finance Ministry declared yesterday about achievement of agreement with the IMF mission concerning start of 3-year program in Georgia, which envisages allocation of $285 million (201.4 million SDR, Extended Fund Facility) to the country.

    Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported that agreements on support and protection of investments, as well as air traffic were signed between Georgia and Belarus within visit of the Minister Giorgi Gakharia to Minsk.

    Gakharia pointed that signing of investment supporting and protection agreements “usually, are followed by jump in companies’ activity and inter-investment interest”.

    Out of 27,000 mortgage loans, taken by private individuals before 2015, 1,525 ones have been converted to lari by now.

    Total portfolio of loans, eligible for larization, amounts to $18.5 million, of which 5.6% are converted within the governmental program, subsidized with 65 million lari, the newspaper reports.

    Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Gakharia declared that growth of airport dues, agreed with TAV Georgia (operator of Tbilisi and Batumi airports), is “optimal new variant, which we reached as a result of revision of the contract with them”.

    Old version of the contract had allowed TAV Georgia to increase the dues every year by $2, while new contract allows growth of dues by $2 only 2 times, the Minister explained.

    Giorgi Gvichiani and Nika Chemia, convicted of TELASI financial manager’s killing, were declared not guilty by the Court of Appeal and freed from the hall, Tabula reports.

    Gvichiani and Chemia were sentenced life imprisonment, but this sentence was changed with 15-year imprisonment in July 2014, while in the end of 2016, Prosecutor’s Office decided to re-investigate the case.
